PUTEAUX, France: Bolloré Logistics has been awarded a Platinum level by Sustainable rating organisation EcoVadis with an overall score of 76/100.
This tier recognises the company’s sustainable development and places Bolloré in the top one percent of over 60,000 rated companies worldwide using the EcoVadis benchmark.
In 2018 the French company launched its CSR programme ‘Powering Sustainable Logistics’ to address ethical, social and environmental issues in the company’s value chain. The programme is designed to include all Bolloré employees in relation to eight UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Writing in its CSR latest report published in November last year, CEO Thierry Ehrenbogen said his company had strengthened its business focus in relation to climate change: “As a global player in the supply chain, it is our role to act responsibly in terms of both ethical business conduct and our approach to the environmental, social and societal issues facing our activities.”
Last year Bolloré launched AcTogether, an inter-country competition that encourages employees to engage in sustainable development efforts or projects. “This Platinum medal recognises the efforts led by our employees worldwide to boost our progress in all CSR topics,” noted Odile Maarek, CSR director.
By setting increasingly bold objectives covering an ever-broadening scope, Bolloré says it plans to integrate CSR issues into its daily operations at each stage of its supply chain in a commitment to more responsible practices and sustainable international growth.
“We will also continue to honor our commitments over the long-term in the regions where we operate with major yearly investments in order to support our activities, develop new infrastructure and promote access to employment for local communities,” added Ehrenbogen.
